John Moroney is an experienced operations and sales management executive with over 20 years of experience in high tech.
Prior to joining Acumen Management Group, Ltd, Moroney has sold, managed and been an executive at ERP/Supply Chain software companies from boom years of the 1990’s to the present environment. Before entering the software industry, he led manufacturing operations at high technology companies in the medical, semiconductor and control products industries.
He has strong sales process, operations, strategy and tactical field experience working in start up, turnaround and growth environments. He has built and led national sales teams who have delivered the lowest cost of sales and highest winning percentage in their industry. His executive responsibilities have included developing strategic alliances, leading sales & product turnarounds, implementing competitive market analysis and re-positioning sales teams from feature/benefit to business solutions sales.
At Acumen Management, Moroney brings his vast experience and knowledge to clients who are wish to align their sales organization and channel partners to their current business & market strategy. His practical experience and skills can be directly applied to executing this strategy with the sales organization.
He also is a principal in SoftwareMinds, a software industry best practices research and publishing firm. He earned a BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Babson College.
